About Us

We are developing a National Centre for Epilepsy (NCE) which will be a state of the art residential and outpatient multi-disciplinary holistic facility to address the needs of patients who suffer from epilepsy and related disorders and their families.

The NCE will be a ‘not for profit’ entity which will be funded initially by private and commercial investment. The initial investors will receive a return on their investment over a fixed period after which the NCE will become a charitable foundation.

The NCE will be a financially independent body generating its’ own revenue and funding costs in a commercial manner. Medical revenue sources will include a service level agreement with the HSE and private medical insurers. Research will be funded through both national and international research bodies as well as individual philanthropic donations. Profits which may be generated from operations will be re-invested in the further development of the centre and in research projects.

The National Centre for Epilepsy is being developed by Epilepsy Clinic Limited, a company formed specifically for this purpose.
