The project to develop the National Centre for Epilepsy (NCE) has been ongoing since 2007 with a initial planned opening in 2011.

Promoted by private individuals and medical professionals the centre will operate on a ‘not for profit’ basis under the Epilepsy Care Foundation, a charity formed specifically for the purpose. It is intended that the centre will provide medical care and assistance to the 39,000 people in Ireland with epilepsy and related disorders, and will be open to both public and private patients alike.

Although the project has received strong political support the current economic climate has meant that it has been delayed. However the Epilepsy Care Foundation will continue to develop this much needed facility for the care of people with epilepsy in Ireland.

The project has been funded to date by private individuals and voluntary help. If you would like to assist or support us in any way please contact us at:
